The Construction Industry Safety Coalition filed comments Sept. 27 with OSHA to request a 90-day extension of the comment period on the agency's rulemaking to address silica exposures, to March 11, 2014. The group also seeks 90-day extensions of the deadline for notice to appear at the public hearing, to Feb. 10, 2014, and the hearing date, to June 1, 2014.
