NIOSH Issues Backgrounder On FY 2011 CR

NIOSH posted a backgrounder explaining the impact on the agency from recent spending negotiations. The final continuing resolution legislation for fiscal year 2011 includes a reduction of $49 million for the NIOSH, which would be taken from a $71 million baseline of funding under the FY '10 CR for World Trade Center health monitoring and treatment, but funding of $22 million would still remain in FY 2011 to continue WTC health services pending the start of new funding on July 1 under the James Zadroga Act.
