Cal/OSHA Says Compliance Grows On Heat Regs

Cal/OSHA said its approach of outreach, education and enforcement has led to a measurable increase in the number of employers who are complying with the state's heat illness regulations, up from 35 percent in 2006, to 76 percent in 2010. As a result, heat-related deaths have sharply declined from 12 in 2005 to two last year, the agency said as it announced new training events.
