The American Society of Safety Engineers outlined a set of principles for OSHA's planned rulemaking on injury and illness prevention programs. A standard that causes employers to make systematic risk-based assessments of occupational safety and health hazards and establish a meaningful plan to address those risks reflects the way the best employers already manage risks, ASSE said.
