NIOSH on Tuesday published a new guidance adding 21 drugs to its list of antineoplastic and other hazardous drugs in health care settings, originally published in 2004. The new additions are new or existing drugs that had new warnings from 2004 to 2007. The NIOSH alert presents a standard precautions or universal precautions approach to handling hazardous drugs safely.
