OSHA has launched a new priority program targeting poultry processors in Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri after data showed workers there are twice as likely to suffer serious injuries and six times more likely to get sick on the job than other private sector workers. The region-wide emphasis program will provide education and assistance to processors, while also redirecting resources and increasing inspections at the facilities, OSHA said in a statement.
