A University of Missouri-based review of research centered on hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") byproducts and their effects on human reproductive and developmental health determined that exposure to chemicals released in fracturing may be harmful to human health in men, women and children and recommend further scientific study. The study comes as OSHA and NIOSH scrutinize the effects of fracking on worker health.
