The National Nanotechnology Initiative names "[b]etter understanding of potential health and safety concerns associated with nanomaterials" as among the issues raised in newly published proceedings of a technical interchange meeting on “Realizing the Promise of Carbon Nanotubes: Challenges, Opportunities, and the Pathway to Commercialization,” held at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration headquarters last year.
