Dispute Resolution Group Drafts Proposals On Chemical Risk Policies

A public policy dispute resolution group is seeking comments on a set of proposals addressing ways to address public health issues associated with chemical exposures. Working groups formed by the National Conversation on Public Health and Chemical Exposures are seeking public comments by Sept. 20 on the documents. The recommendations include calls for OSHA to take the lead on certain chemical risk initiatives.

The draft documents covering the following areas: monitoring, scientific understanding, chemical policies and practices, chemical emergencies, serving communities, and education and communication.
