Democratic Sens. Charles Schumer (NY) and Richard Blumenthal (CT) urged OSHA chief David Michaels in a May 22 letter to take immediate action to prevent hazards to nail salon workers, including asking what authority OSHA needs to lower permissible exposure limits to the chemicals in nail salon products.
