This proposed OSHA rule would lower the allowed exposure for workers to the metal beryllium by 90 percent. The rule does not apply to construction and shipyards, as OSHA is gathering more data on those sectors before establishing new standards. The rule was proposed on Aug. 6, 2015, and will undergo public review during a meeting on Feb. 29, 2016.
