OSHA has issued new policies and procedures for continued implementation of a National Emphasis Program (NEP) to reduce and eliminate workplace hazards associated with shipbreaking operations. The agency said the guidance was issued after it signed a renewed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with several other agencies to improve coordination in regulating domestic ship recycling.
