OSHA issued new guidance on fall protection in residential construction to help employers prevent fall-related injuries and deaths, and comply with a directive issued in December. At that time OSHA withdrew a previous directive on its residential construction fall protection standard that allowed for blanket exemptions from rules requiring employers to put conventional measures in place unless shown to be infeasible or create a greater hazard.
