OSHA Focuses On Cell Phone Worker Fall-Related Fatalities

OSHA chief David Michaels sent a letter Monday (Feb. 10) to communication tower employers urging them to strictly adhere to safety standards and common sense practices and make sure their subcontractors do as well. As part of its new focus on cell phone workers, the agency also has created a new web page targeting issues surrounding communication tower work, and plans to collaborate with the National Association of Tower Erectors and other industry stakeholders on the new enforcement focus.
