NIOSH seeks public comment on re-evaluating its policy on emergency escape support breathing system or "buddy breather" devices used with open-circuit self-contained breathing apparatus. The subject will be discussed at a NIOSH-sponsored public meeting Dec. 9 in Pittsburgh. Comments will be accepted until Jan. 30, 2011.
