NIOSH Offers Blind-Area Diagrams For Road Construction Safety

NIOSH published a science blog regarding on-the-job hazards facing road construction workers, and noted that in 2001, NIOSH began developing and evaluating interventions to reduce the number of ground workers being struck by road construction equipment. While developing evaluation methods, researchers created equipment blind-area diagrams, which the agency says can be useful to companies and labor unions. Diagrams are available on the NIOSH website.
