NIOSH's Board of Scientific Counselors, which provides guidance to the agency on research and prevention programs, meets Nov. 15, 2011, in Washington. The agenda will include: director update; implementation of the National Academies program recommendations for respiratory diseases, hearing loss prevention, personal protective technologies, and health hazard evaluations; occupational safety and health workforce needs assessment; and future directions for extramural research.
