Newly sworn-in Chemical Safety Board Chairwoman Vanessa Sutherland issued a statement Monday saying she looks forward to "a highly productive and collaborative experience with my fellow board members and the CSB's staff." Sutherland, the former chief counsel for the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, takes office amid management troubles and continued congressional scrutiny, and joins a board divided over policy and governance issues.
