HHS Checklist Advises Health Community On Ebola Preparedness

A new checklist crafted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, along with the HHS Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, and other experts aims to "increase understanding of the Ebola virus disease (EVD) and encourage community-level preparedness" for U.S. health care coalitions and their members in managing patients with Ebola and other infectious diseases. The checklist comes as CDC grapples with how to protect, in part, health workers in the event of an Ebola outbreak (see related story).
