Ranking Democrats on the House Education and the Workforce Committee and the workforce protections subcommittee sent another letter to the CEO of Alpha Natural Resources Inc., which recently acquired the company that owned West Virginia's Upper Big Branch mine, seeking a wide range of information about safety practices and asking him again to back mine safety reforms. They are responding to the CEO's recent letter in response to the Democrats' concerns.
