CDC Plans Research On Preventing Asthma In Health Care

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published a notice in the Federal Register seeking comments on proposed NIOSH research to inform the prevention of asthma in health care. Evidence from both surveillance and epidemiologic research indicates that health care workers have an elevated risk for work-related asthma associated with exposure to groups of agents such as cleaning products, latex, indoor air pollution, volatile organic compounds and bioaerosols, CDC says.
